Greetings from the Dogs!
Hi! The doggies at Lil Sunbeams Papillons Welcome you! We are a family of 5. There are 4 girls and one boy! We live somewhere close to a town called Platteville, in Wisconsin. If you want to come see us, we would like that very much! We all love humans!
We have a cozy little house all our own. Our "human Mom" works "out" some, but when she's home, she plays with us a lot. She opens our gate and lets us run at least once a day. Except when it's warm, then we get to run almost all the time.
We like to be warm, but sometimes we're having so much fun outside, we forget to come in when we're cold. So "Mom" shuts our gate when it's cold so we don't freeze our feet.
We still have a little area outside that's fenced in, so we can go outside to do potty and bark at exciting stuff that goes by.
The best part of the day is "treat time"! That's when we do all kinds of silly stuff "Mom" tells us to do, like "sit", "down", "beg", "roll-over", and "bark", then we get to have those yummy things "Mom" keeps in the bottom drawer of her desk. We can tell it's "treat time" when "mom" opens that drawer.
We also love playing with a laser-light! We recognize the word as soon as "Mom" says it. Sometimes we act silly and pretend to chase that little red bug before it's even there.
None of us really like "brush time", but we all tolerate it because we get to cuddle with "Mom" afterward.
The babies that are born here get LOTS of TLC (even before they're born)! Sometimes "Mom" does stuff to them that makes them cry, but we know it will help them so they don't get sick or have worms.
The doctor lady comes too, sometimes. We don't really like her because she sticks us with needles sometimes. But we still try to be polite, maybe even lick her hand, for Mom's sake. "Mom" thinks a lot of her!
"Mom" likes to keep our house clean, so when our babies are about 4 weeks old, we try to teach them to go potty on the little purple pads "Mom" puts on the floor for them. By the time they're 7 or 8 weeks old they usually do pretty good.
"Mom" also likes to teach our babies a few tricks sometimes. It sure doesn't take them long to understand why we like "treat time" so much.
"Mom" always packs Puppy Kit bags a few days before our babies go to their new homes. The best part about that is that we get to play with the toys and blankets that go in the bags. "Mom" says that our scent stays on that stuff a long time and it will help our babies adjust to their new home.
We hope you will come sometime so we can show you our cool little house and our stuff!
Love,
All of us at
Lil' Sunbeams Papillons
